Forming the Brigade
Before any further actions have been made throughout the project, an intensive background research about the dish Pinangat was conducted for adequate acquaintance. The said intensive research was led by Kimberly Mae B. Balaquiao. Leah Marie F. Gagalac was the one in charge in the blog design and construction while Denise V. Francisco together with Janica B. Frias started taping the interviews to different citizens in the community. Jonathan B. Lachica and Christian A. Carillo shoot the video for the introduction with Kent Gabriel L. Austria as their video director. Darlyn Grace D. Lasala and Ryan Dave V. Andes edited and finalized the videos and images used for the blog. Keith Angel I. Suñga was in charge in writing the contents for the video blog. Rogelio A. Ceas with our leader Mary France P. Milante supervised and led the whole group during the whole process.
The Pinangat Quest
The group was first divided into two sub groups and tasks were specifically assigned. The first group gathered necessary information needed about the main topic, Pinangat.
The first sub group is the search team that went around Naga City to personally ask some persons who professionally prepare Pinangat for years. The other members of the search team were assigned to interview random persons around the city about their opinion on Pinangat.
The data gathered from the research and interviews were the main basis for the entire process in the making of the blog.
The Video Shoot
The second sub group was assigned to shoot the videos. The sub group is led by Kent Gabriel Austria as the video director and the camera man. The videos are then compiled and edited by Darlyn Grace Lasala and Ryan Dave Andes.
The first video made was for the introduction. The video was portrayed by Jonathan Lachica as the student in the video and Christian Carillo as the Pinangat Boy.
A video containing the interviews gathered around Naga City was also produced. The interviewers were Denise Francisco and Janica Frias. They went around the city to look for people who are approachable enough to be our interviewee. One of them is Arnica Mae Remoquillo, a third year nursing student of the Unibersidad de Sta. Isabel.
The cooking procedure of the main topic, Pinangat, was also filmed. It was covered by Kimberly Me Balaquiao and Mary France Milante together with France’s Grandmother as the cook. Every procedure and ingredients were included in the video. The whole cooking procedure was certified clean and personally performed by the group.
The Tail-end Editing
The most challenging part of the project is the writing, editing and compiling of every single item we gathered through the whole process. Precise and accurate interpretation of the data that were gathered through research and interviews is necessary to show adequate idea for the readers of the blog. Pixel by Pixel video and photo editing was also conducted to attain suitable media for the blog.
The majority of the literatures inside the blog are written by our head writer of the group, Keith Angel Suñga. The finest words are used to unambiguously comprehend the readers of the blog through its contents. The contents and blog designs are sited inside the blog by Leah Marie Gagalac, the group leader. The entire design and content of the site was polished by Ms. Rhea Samino, the coach of the team, and Mr. Cesar Arriola, one of the ICT teachers inside the campus, through a screening conducted before submitting the entry.
Using Windows Live Movie Maker, we edited and finalize our videos with proper order, effects, and subtitles for the best output of the video. On the other hand, the photos are edited using Adobe Photoshop CS3 to give apt images and pictures used to accentuate the significance of the video blog. Kent Gabriel Austria, Ryan Dave Andes, and Darlyn Grace Lasala exploited their talents in the technology for the furtherance of the blog site.
